Dr. Mackenzie Colbert
Dr. Mackenzie Colbert grew up with a family tradition of dentistry, and her interest was sparked by observing her father and two uncles as dentists. It was not until high school that she found a passion for ceramics in addition to science and realized pursuing dentistry would merge her two interests.
Dr. Mackenzie earned her undergraduate degree in human physiology at the University of Iowa and graduated from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She subsequently completed a General Practice Residency at the Minneapolis VA Hospital. Here, she gained advanced experience in oral surgery, implant placement, and periodontal surgery. She completed complex, comprehensive restorative treatment plans that positioned her to better serve her future patients and build a practice that would meet all their oral health needs.
In her free time, Dr. Mackenzie enjoys all the great things Minnesota has to offer. She enjoys biking, cheering on the Hawkeyes (and the Gophers when not playing the Hawkeyes), spending time on the water in any capacity, and checking out new restaurants around the Twin Cities.
Dr. Hannah Moran
Dr. Hannah Moran is a native of Madison, WI, and has lived throughout the Midwest before making her way to the Twin Cities. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology at Saint Louis University (St. Louis, MO), her dental degree at the University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA), followed by a general practice dentistry residency at Loyola University Medical Center (Chicago, IL).
She has followed her family’s tradition of joining dentistry with both of her parents being in the field. Her uncle was also a dental school classmate and good friends with Dr. Michael Colbert at the University of Iowa! Dr. Hannah is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry, but particularly enjoys building relationships with her patients as well as outreach activities like Special Olympics’ Healthy Athletes (Special Smiles) program.
When she’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hannah enjoys spending time with her husband and family, baking, and reading. She also enjoys checking out new coffee shops and restaurants and exploring the walking paths/trails in her area.
Connie
Office Manager
Connie grew up in the Anoka area and attended Anoka High School before earning her dental assisting degree in 1980 from Hennepin Technical College. She has been a core member of Dr. Colbert’s team for many years, serving patients, leading the team, and running the office from day to day.
Connie is a member of the Dental Assisting National Board and is registered with the Minnesota Dental Board. She also continues her education through the OMS Study Group and attends several continuing education courses each year.
When she is not at the dental office, Connie enjoys spending time with her family, kids, and grandchildren. She loves to camp and go four-wheeling in the summer.
Addie
Dental Hygienist
Addie received her dental hygiene training at the University of Iowa/Kirkwood Community College in 2023. She joined Colbert Family Dental shortly after, bringing the latest training in dental hygiene to our practice.
In her short time with us, Addie has become known for her ability to ease patients’ anxieties, making their dental experience a positive one. Educating patients about their oral health and witnessing their growth in confidence are the most rewarding aspects of her job.
When she's not with her patients at the clinic, Addie enjoys reading, movies, games, and cheering on her favorite sports teams—the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes. Although she’s new to the area, Addie appreciates the change of scenery from cornfields everywhere to our many beautiful lakes and recreational activities.

Tammy
Dental Hygienist
Tammy grew up in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, and worked in a dental office during high school. The dentist recognized her passion for dentistry and encouraged her to pursue an education in dental care. Tammy earned her Dental Hygiene degree from the University of Minnesota in 1990. She has been a part of Dr. Colbert’s team for 20 years and continues to further her education through many online courses, lectures, and seminars.
In her free time, Tammy loves to travel with friends and family. In the summer, she also enjoys camping and boating.
Monique
Dental Hygienist
Monique grew up two hours southwest of Maple Grove in Madelia, Minnesota. She earned her degree in dental hygiene from Herzing University. Monique has been a dental hygienist for over 12 years, and her favorite part of dentistry is patient education.
When not working, Monique's favorite thing to do is hanging out with her family and her pets: two dogs, two cats, and chickens. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on the Packers, jogging, gardening, kayaking, and cross-country skiing when Minnesota gets enough snow.
Tonya
Licensed Dental Assistant
Tonya grew up north of the Twin Cities in Browerville, Minnesota. She attended Concordia College in Moorhead for her bachelor's degree, then continued to Minnesota State for her dental assisting degree.
Tonya loves spending time with her family and finding fun local things to do, like exploring parks, events, and festivals. Her favorite thing to do is play with her daughter and chase her around as she explores new things. While not crazy into sports, she admits she enjoys going to Twins games and watching Vikings vs. Packers while obviously cheering for the Vikings.
The most caring, compassionate and patient focused people one could ask for:) After putting off much needed dental work for far too long due to mental health issues, a poor experience with a past dentist, and a rough last year, I could not have imagined a better visit. Dr. Moran passed no judgement and provided assurance throughout that I will be taken care of. I felt seen as a person and not a customer. Dr. Moran clearly discussed treatment options, costs and concerns with me in a private setting. The women at the front desk assisted me with paperwork, scheduling an appointment with the referred specialist, and had nothing but kind words and sentiments.
